Nothing makes us special today

There is nothing to separate
this day from others
nothing makes us special today
but some times we mind
more than others
and the universe suddenly explodes
with happiness

otherwise we mostly like to live in fear
it is simple
we close our eyes and make
our way through the days

but in faith or folly
we sometimes snatch open our eyes
and steal nibbles of peace
incredible fruits of freedom
only to shut them too soon
for we are more familiar with the gloom.
